Major currency pairs have the smallest percentage moves of anything we track, which makes cost the whole problem: a target that looks fine on a chart can sit entirely inside the spread.
Rates come from Yahoo Finance, with the European Central Bank’s published reference rates (via Frankfurter) as the fallback — an authoritative, free source.
Levels are sized from Average True Range, so a quiet session produces a proportionally tighter structure rather than an arbitrary floor. The 2:1 reward-to-risk is held regardless.
Forex is where trading costs bite hardest relative to the move, which is why our own backtesting charges spread and slippage on every trade before reporting anything. A forex result that looks positive gross and negative net is not an edge, and we would rather find that out ourselves than publish it.
